A Weekly Market Email is sent out Every Market Day Week between Thursday Afternoon and Saturday Morning with IMPORTANT INFORMATION pertinent to
Arrival, Set-Up, Market Rules, Tearing Down, Exiting the Market, Etc.
If you DO NOT receive a weekly EMAIL by Saturday at 4:00pm ~ please TEXT 586-215-7484 with Notification so You Can Get it Sent to You.

This Email Does Include A Large Amount of Information; however, It is Important to the Benefit of all Participants as well as the NBFM itself. It is suggested that you print these weekly emails and review them … you may be quite surprised, even if you've been attending quite awhile...of what's
in there that you've never realized.
*Any Person Attending in Your Space (inside your space for more than 15 minutes) MUST ALSO be well-familiar with the rules/guidelines BEFORE attending. They MUST complete the cover page and sign that last 2 pages of the application packet to be submitting at check in. This only needs to be done once for the season.

The last pages of each application packet contain all of the details regarding the NBFM Guidelines, Policies, & other Important Details!   Please Make Sure that ALL PERSONS Attending the Market in Your
Space are Familiar with ALL of these items.

LOCATION -
(2022): The market area will continue to be expanded and held in Downtown New Baltimore on Washington Street, part of Front Street with additional space in an area of the park as needed.
(2021): The NBFM officially expands into a Market Area that includes 3 Market Sites: Main Site (A)-Washington Street, Site B-Small Parking Lot (at Washington & Main Streets/'Old Rec Center Lot', & Site C-Grassy Area off of Washington Street between Main and Front Streets. This new area will allow more than 220 Participants and is expected to fill up this year! The 14th Season Kicks Off May 16th (with a 2-week delay due to the Pandemic Situation in NB) and will run through Last Market Day October 24th with Special Event Markets scheduled to be held.
(2020): The market expanded from Washington Street as needed to host more than 125 filled spaces. NBFM 13th Season Kicked Off May 17th (with a 2-week delay due to the COVID Pandemic) and Ran through October 25th with Market Days hosting a customer average of 3350 per date! 
(2019): The market continues ON Washington Street between Main & Front Streets from May 5: Opening Day through October 20: Harvest Festival Boo Bash.
(2018): The city of New Baltimore has had to CLOSE the Recreation Center until further notice. We have moved onto Washington Street this year and this move is expected to be permanent.  Indoor bathrooms are available at the park pavilion.

(2019): The market continues to be located on Washington Street between Main & Front Streets.

Effective 2021 Season:   
​
Market hours are 9am - 2pm.
Washington Street and Entire Market Area is closed off beginning as early as 5:30 am and does not open again until as late as 4:00 pm. 

Participants MAY begin LINING UP for CHECK IN beginning at 6:30 am with Check In Beginning approximately 6:45-7:00 am.

Participants MUST CHECK IN before ENTERING a Market Site & CHECK OUT before BRINGING VEHICLE onto market site to Load up unless prior approval from Market Manager.

NO VEHICLES or 'Cart/Walk In' for Set Up is allowed after 8:15 am UNLESS prior Approval from Market Manager.

Teardown is 2pm. NO EARLY TEAR-DOWN without MM approval. No cars on the site for tear-down until the MARKET STAFF opens Barricade(s) (2:15-ish pm).


*Upon teardown/packing: move all items onto the SIDEWALK. DO NOT leave on the street. Do NOT bring vehicle(s) to wait to enter street for Check Out UNTIL everything from your space(s) is PACKED and tent DOWN - All Moved Unto the Sidewalk. Once Checked Out and have Vehicle on Site loading up YOU should be finished as quickly as possible.

Those Participants Needing MORE than 45 minutes to TEAR down / LOAD up MUST DISCUSS NEEDS with Market Manager AHEAD OF MARKET DAY attendance.


Participants MAY NOT 'cart'/'walk' their items onto / off of the Site unless Previously Approved by the Market Manager.

PARKING: For your customers' convenience, participants may NOT park along Main St., on Washington, on Front St., OR  on or in any streets/parking lots within a one-block square around the market area.

There is limited parking behind Huntington Bank down the alley behind the purple building, and on any side streets outside of a one-block area from the market.

Those with Handicap Placards hanging on their Vehicle Mirror OR noted on their license plates CAN PARK in areas within the one-block square AFTER receiving APPROVAL and Direction as to Where to Park at Check-In on Market Day. (Please note this pertains to ONE Vehicle per Market Space only.)

Please ask at Check-In of Market Day if you need assistance with parking.

Please note that the NB Civic Club is a private lot and we do not have permission to park there at all due to events they may have.

RESTROOMS: Participants are to use the Public Restrooms located in the park off of Washington & Front Streets (in the Pavilion with the White 'Cupola' on Top).
Businesses including Restaurants in the Downtown Area ARE NOT to be USED for RESTROOM facilities; per business owners request!

PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO USE RESTROOMS IN DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES!

FOOD SAMPLING at the NBFM must follow MDARD guidelines (CLICK HERE).

ALL PARTICIPANTS OFFERING FOOD PRODUCTS: Cottage Food & Licensed Food Vendors MUST have a copy of all licensing and/or certification at their space for the duration of the market. (If a copy of licensing/certification has not been previously submitted~one needs to be turned into Market Manager before or upon Checking In at the Market.

Those without proper paperwork will not be allowed to set up, forfeiting their registration. Paperwork can be emailed to marketmanager@newbaltimorefarmersmarket before market attendance.

NO SMOKING by PARTICIPANTS inside any market sites OR within 20 feet from the perimeter of market area AT ANY TIME this includes any persons inside a participant's space. 

PARTICIPANTS are NOT to bring PETS with them to the Market unless approved by the Market Manager ahead of time. This includes anyone inside a participant's space.
